Wskażnik paliwa DRAEGER - odczyt???

9 grudnia 2013, 11:13
Dmuchajac we wspomniana tuleje wskaznik reaguje zmiana i wychyleniem wskazówki..
Pozdrawiam
Marek

Tu zasada działania:

No one else is jumping in so I'll try.

As far as I know the Drager is like the Beck. think of the gauge as a barometer like the kind that predicts the weather by measuring air pressure. But in this case it measures the air pressure inside your gas tank.

Inside the tank there is an upside down cup. this is what you fill with air using the pump on the dash. You pump it till the little cup is full of air. Attached to the cup are two copper lines (one inside the other I believe). The first copper line goes from the pump to the cup, and that is the line that fills the cup with air. The second copper line goes from inside the cup to the gauge so the gauge is always reading the air pressure inside the cup in the tank. See, the gauge never measures the gas--it just measures the pressure of the air inside the little upside down cup.

If your tank is full the weight of the gas is high against the air inside the cup so the air pressure is higher and the gauge reads full. As the gas is used the weight of the fuel is less and less, so the pressure in the cup is less to. Since the pressure in the cup is less the gauge reads lower. It is a very accurate system when it is in good repair.

But the problem is that the gauge is calibrated to match the cup in the tank. Without the exact dimensions of that cup I think you're kinda screwed as far as accuracy is concerned.

How much pumping is required depends on your driving. The air tends to slosh out when cornering, or leak out thru the gauge or the pump over time, so you need to give it a pump to make sure the cup is completely filled with air.
