1983 Mexican Bug LHD.All steel never had any panels replaced or any major welding ( small plating underside and does need a new wheel well section at some point? ) Sails through MOT's currently SORN'd but has current MOT.Front end has 3" narrowed beam and matching custom swaybar from Airspeed with CB dropped spindles and discs.Runs 4lug BRM Repro's all round.Stock retrimmed hi-backs and matching rear seat in grey velour gauges for oil n rpm's.
JMR 2276 motor with spec as follows:-
CB 82mm forged crank
Pauter cro-moly race rods and bolts
Mahle 94mm pistons/barrels with Total Seal Rings
Engle FK89 cam and Straight Cut gears
Cro-moly pushrods
CB two piece lightweight lifters
Pauter 1.4:1 rollertip ( chevy style ) ratio rockers
CB 044 Wedgeport Heads with 44 x 37.5 long stem valves and Titanium Valve Spring Retainers-CNC porting with added JMR cleanup and massaging with 3angle seats etc etc
Compression Ratio is 10.5:1
Carburettors are Dellorto 48 DRLA's on CB " ScatTrak" style manifolds match ported to the 044's.
Dyno'd at JMR with 201 BHP@6500rpm's.
Cogbox Transmission with spec as follows:-
FTC Cro-Moly mainshaft with 3.78 / 2.35 1st n 2nd gears
1.58 / 1.21 3rd and 4th with 3.88 Ring and Pinion

Basically this car has all the "right stuff" but due to being pretty heavy in it's current guise i have only managed a best ET of 13.4@97 mph on street treads ith the fanbelt and muffler fitted-but there's loadsa potential ( the 2276 in my ol' blue 63 street car ran consistent 12.8's with a PB of 12.5@106 )
