Silnik 1914

Yes, I agree that collecting parts could last one or two years.

I don't necessarily agree with the statement that the build is best left to professionals. It's like having sex with with your wife/girlfriend- the effect on her would perhaps be better if a professional had sex with her, but YOU wouldn't have the fun, satisfaction and intimacy of doing it yourself.

Bylem malo precyzyjny piszac "dlugo". To moze byc tez np 6 lat ;)

Jesli chcesz, zeby bylo tanio, to uzyj oryginalnego walu.

Aczkolwiek BUDOWĘ SILNIKA wolę pozostawić profesjonalistom a samemu dłubać całą resztę:)

Regarding the crankshaft- A standard 1300/1600 crankshaft is good to 7000 or more rpm with the right lightweight pistons (JE, Wiseco). With the typical Mahle/AA pistons that most people use, 6000rpm is no problem with even occasional bursts to 6500rpm or more. About 6500rpm should be the limit for most street vw engines because vw engines even with really good heads, big carbs, etc struggle to make max horsepower much higher. Also, at about 6000rpm the fan starts to act as a huge brake with the standard size crankshaft pulley. Also, a counterweighted crank is much heavier and doesn't rev up as well as a standard crank.

rozsądnie to pewnie nawet i 300km pewnie

Yes, lightweight 94mm pistons are available for a 1914. They are usually used for stroker engines, but work really well in a 1914- Jas built a 1914 for a customer with Wiseco pistons last year- goes really well for a 1914 and will get some more power this year with ratio rockers and maybe a little more compression.
What Dabtuner wrote is perfectly correct. A few things kill gearboxes and they are not necessarily power. The gearbox needs to be as solidly mounted in the car as possible to prevent it from moving. The rate that the clutch transfers power to the gearbox is also very important- a 1700 Kennedy clutch with a standard solid disc will slip slightly on engagement, but if you change the disc to a 4 puk the rate of engagement will be faster and there will be far less slip and so there is a greater chance of breaking something in the gearbox. Also, if you use a set of racing slicks and use a clutch that doesn't slip, the chance of breaking a gearbox increases again. The most damage is done from a standing start.
I have broken a gearbox with an engine that made about 100hp because the gearbox was not properly mounted in the car and used a kennedy 1700 pressure plate and a 4 puk disc. On the other hand I had a heavy 1303 with an engine that made over 200hp and I raced it on drag slicks, but it had a clutch that was designed to slip slightly on launch and the gearbox lasted for years.
Many Beetles using big turbocharged engines nowadays use electronically managed clutch systems to reduce the shock on the gearboxes.
